Configure user account |
Creation stages / Use:
This window is automatically opened when clicking the Add or Modify button of the Users command.
It is composed of 3 tabs:
Profile: This tab allows to enter all information about the user.
Enter the user's first name.
Enter the user's last name. (Required)
Enter the initials. The value entered for the initials will automatically populate the Author fields in the title block, properties of the document and elsewhere.
Enter the identifier. The given value will be the TopSolid login. (Required)
Enter the user's password.
Confirm the password.
With the client/server mode, you can enter your e-mail address which can be used with the workflow. In this case a mail server has to be configured.
For users with several mail addresses or working at home with an access to their professional mails, it is possible to configure other mails servers by clicking the Configure an outgoing mail server button.
Groups: This tab allows to assign one or several groups to a user. They have to be created before using them.
Session: This tab allows to define the user account behavior in the TopSolid session.
To avoid the user to change his password, check the User cannot change his password option. The password will be greyed when the user will use the My account command.
The password can expired at the next connection or at a specified date. In these 2 cases, the user will have to enter a new password when he will log in TopSolid.
If the password arrives at expiration, the user will have to enter a new password, even if the User cannot change his password option is checked. |
