Available Options:
Advanced information:
This option allows you to view file information such as the software used to create the file, the version, the tolerance, the author's name, ...
Options:
Transfer assembly structure. If the file to be imported is an assembly, each part and subassembly will become TopSolid documents. If the file to be imported is a part or if the option is not checked, only one document will be created in TopSolid.
Create an assembly document for files containing multiple bodies. A part can be made up of multiple bodies, for example when one form is subtracted from another. In that case, if the option is checked, the part imported into TopSolid will become an assembly with multiple referenced part documents.
Translate attributes. Some interfaces also allow you to retrieve the attributes (color, level, description) of imported parts.
Translate free curves. Allows to translate "Sketch" entities (a connected following of curves). Often useful in CAM, these curves allow you to define the machining path directly in CAD.
Translate free surfaces. Same option than upper, but for surfaces.
Translate hidden entities. allows you to translate hidden entities (surfaces, sketches, ...) available in the file.
Simplify geometry. Allows you to simplify shape topology by converting in plane surfaces, cylinder and cones surfaces which can be and if possible, face edges in lines or arcs, by respecting the given tolerance.
Sew sheet bodies. Allows you to sew sheet bodies together.
Import PMI. Allows you to translate 3d informations (geometric tolerance, surface finish, ...) for some kind of files (Catia v5, Pro-e and Unigraphics). A license is required for this option.
A results window will show if the conversion was successful.
