Available options:
During a document opening. its references will be verified. If newest major revisions are available, it will be proposed to update your document with these new revisions. It is the case of an assembly or a draft which was using a part with an A major revision during the creation. Now this part has changed and its new major revision is B. It is also the case after a TopSolid update, if a standard material or standard has been updated with this patch.
Example. a draft uses an assembly rev A which uses a part rev A. If the part changes to rev B, at the draft opening, you will have to update the assembly because it doesn't use the latest revision of the part. So the draft will also be update while the assembly will be updated. If this option is checked, only the first level of references is checked. In our case, the draft uses the correct assembly revision while TopSolid doesn't check if the assembly has to be updated.
By checking this option, only documents of the current project are redirected. If the assembly of a draft is in another project than the part it uses, and if this part has a newest version, the assembly will not be redirected neither its draft.
By checking this option, only documents which use documents of referenced project will be redirected. If an assembly uses a part of a referenced project and if this part has more recent revisions, the assembly will be updated. If the option is not checked, it will not.
By checking this option, only documents which use documents of referenced library will be redirected. If an assembly uses a part of a referenced library and if this part has more recent revisions, the assembly will be updated. If the option is not checked, it will not.
If this option is checked, only obsolete or deleted references are searched.
When TopSolid detects documents to redirect according to upper criteria, the redirection will be done either with the last validate major revision of the document to redirect (green padlock) or either with the last available revision (validate or design). |
