This option allows to you specify a list of values that the parameter can take. These values can be discrete (for example 10, 20, etc.) or defined in one or more intervals defined by a minimum value, a maximum value and a step.

For the discrete values, the Strict option enables you either to:

  • Display the possible values in a drop-down list (Strict mode checked).

  • Display the possible values in a drop-down list and allow to manually enter any other value (Strict mode unchecked).

About intervals value, let take the example below:

One interval from [10mm to 15mm] with step 1mm: authorized values will be 10mm ; 11mm ; 12mm ; ... ; 15mm.

Second interval from [20mm to 30mm] with step 2mm:  authorized values will be 20mm ; 22mm ; 24mm ; ... ; 30mm.

All others values will be refused.

Possibility to use discrete values and intervals values for the same parameter.

If we use a real parameter with possible value in the family document :

  • We only use the possible value if the parameter is a driver.

  • If this parameter is integrated in a family table, then the possible value will be not used. It will driven by the family.
