The Tolerance contextual command allows to modify this approximation.

Available Types:

The curvature radius of the curve is constant.

The segment is tangent to the curve.

The extension follows the probable evolution of the curve based on its last points (takes into account the curvature and the inflection points).

Length:

It is the length of the profile extension.

It is the total length of the profile (extension included).

  • When the radius of a profile is infinite, the curvature option has no effect (example: a line).

  • In the case of an exact extension, the actual length of the extension is approximate to the extension given by the user, except in the case of a circle line or arc where it is exact.

  • In the case of total length, the proposed default length is the length of the profile. If the given length is less than the profile length, this will be limited to the given length.

  • You cannot extend a closed curve.
