Exclusion

This command lets you exclude repeated copies.

Creation Stages / Use:

Click the icon or select Construction > Patterns > Exclusion... from the drop-down menu.

Choose the pattern to use.
Choose the type of exclusion (occurrences or enclosing sketch). If "occurrence" is selected, the different occurrences must then be selected by clicking the blue points. If "enclosing sketch" is selected, the sketch must be selected.
Choose whether to exclude or preserve chosen occurrences or whether to exclude or preserve the interior portion of the sketch.

The pattern's entity of origin will always be kept. It is shown with a black cross with a blue point in the middle.

Available Options:

Associated to the pattern:

The pattern will be associated to the pattern, meaning that it will be included in the Repetition operation in the operation tree. It will be on the same level as the pattern. This is the default mode.

Insertion Cursor:

By default, the exclusion is done after the repetition. Without this option, the repetition would not be impacted, only the next ones that use the pattern. With this option, the exclusion is done after the pattern and before the repetition, so repeated entities will be impacted.

Modifications / Additional information:

You can modify the exclusion by editing from the popup menu for one of the repetitions or from the operations tree.
