TopSolid V6 Import Options |
This command allows you to modify the TopSolid v6 (.top, .mld and .pgs files) import options.
|
The upper part of the dialog box displays the name of the interface and the filename.
The bottom part of the dialog box consists of different tabs:
General:
Translate only main set elements: Elements defined in the main set will be imported, other elements will not be taken into account.
Translate Attributes: During the import of a part, this options allows you to get the attributes (colors, ...) defined in the TopSolid v6 document.
Import Sketches: The sketches (and not curves) will be imported. The sketches will be visible from the sketch folder of the entity tree.
Import Curves: Curves defined in the TopSolid v6 document will be converted as sketch.
The Import Sketches and Import Curves options can be useful to get construction sketch of the parts, or punching contours on Progress strip. |
Assembly:
Translate Assembly Structure: When this option is checked, the assembly structure of the main set is converted into Assembly and Part documents. Otherwise, all the elements of the main set are imported into a single Part document.
Import Positioning Constraints: This option converts the TopSolid v6 positioning constraints into TopSolid 7 positioning constraints.
Import Kinematics: This option allows you to get the kinematic joints of the TopSolid v6 document, however, scenarios are not converted.
Component:
Search for existing documents: This option allows you to search whether or not TopSolid v6 components have been converted. By default, the search is done in the current project. It is possible to search in all projects by checking this option by the searching time will be much longer.
Search for standard TopSolid components: f the imported assembly includes for example the ISO L8 washer, it will be replaced by its equivalent from TopSolid 7 ISO library.
These options are non managed during .mld or .pgs imports. |
Templates:
Allows to choose the template document to use for parts, assemblies, mold, ... created during import. For example, it is possible to use a Steel Part as template, so each imported parts will be with Steel.
Searching existing documents may take a long time because the database is interrogated. |
