Mandrels

Mandrels can be added in the electrode document as a component. Each mandrel will then be associated with an electrode.

Creation stages / Use:

Include a mandrel component.
Validate .

A component will be considerated as mandrels after provided the Mandrel function, available in the TopSolid Tooling, Electrode library.

Each mandrel inclusion is associated with only one electrode. It is not advisable to edit the inclusion of a mandrel and replace its destination electrode because the mandrel will not be correctly associated with the new electrode. It is preferable to remove the mandrel inclusion and create a new inclusion on the new electrode.

Modifications / Additional information:

Mandrels will be projected or not with the Electrodes draft command.
A Mandrels folder is created under the electrode, in the Electrode tree. It groups the mandrel of the electrode.
A same folder is created in the set folder.
