Automatic axes

This command allows you to automatically create axes on a reference view.

This is based on the detection criteria.

Creation stages / Use:

Select Detailing > Automatic axes... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select the reference view.

  2. Set the detection criteria.

  3. Validate the command.

An axis generated by this command cannot be deleted. A right-click deleted on an axis will delete the "Automatic axes" operation and therefore destroy all created axes.

An axis can be hidden by right-clicking it.

Right-clicking again on another axis generated by the same command shows all hidden axes.

Available Options:

  • This icon indicates that the axes of front view circular faces would like to be retrieved.

  • This icon indicates that the axes of side view circular faces would like to be retrieved.

Axes will be created only for circles whose diameter is included in this range.

Axes will be created only for circles whose angle is greater than the specified value.

Axes will be created only for side view circular faces whose edge incline is less than or equal to the specified value.

By default, axes have an extended length of 3mm.

You can modify this value by turning on this option.

If two axes situated on the same line are far from a value inferior to the value specified in this field, they will be merged in order to form only one axis.

Modifications:

To modify detection criteria of an existing "Auto Axes" command, simply right-click one of the generated axes via this command and select the Edit command.
