This command allows to create/modify drillings table styles usable during drillings tables creation.

The drillings table style is a setting of a drillings table (informations in columns, symbols, drillings group, ...).

Creation stages / Use:

Select the Tools > Styles > Drillings table style... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Enter the name of the style.

  2. Check if this style has to be current.

  3. Validate by clicking .

Available Options:

The style can be defined with 3 different tabs.

  • Grouping:

    • By type: Drillings with same type (tapped hole, spot facing, ...) are grouped together.

    • By axis: Drillings done on the same axis are grouped together.

    • By grouping criterion: User defines grouping criterion (see below). When drillings have all their grouping criterion identical, they will be grouped together (ex. same type and same diameter).

    • by predefined groups: From the Predefined groups tab, user describes a list of groups that can be ordered, each one with a name and criteria list used to check wether a drilling is valid for this group. All valid drillings for the same group will be grouped together.

  • Available informations: List all usable properties in the drillings table. You just have to select them and to click on the green arrow to switch them in the Selected Informations column.

  • Selected informations: List all used properties in the drillings table. If a property should not be used, just select it and click the red arrow to move it in the Available informations column.

  • Informations for sorting: Allows to sort informations. For example, by selecting the nominal diameter of threaded holes, it is possible to sort threaded holes by ascending or descending order regarding their nominal diameter.

  • Grouping criterion: When grouping type is set to By grouping criterion, this area will allow to define criteria to check. When drillings have all their grouping criterion identical, they will be grouped together (ex. same type and same diameter). In Selected information list, select an information and move it to Grouping criterion list thanks to the green arrow (the red arrow allows to remove an information).

  • Column: It is possible to merge several informations in the same column like for example merge the X coordinate with the Y coordinate and add a x (multiplication) separator and name the column "Coordinates".It is also possible to choose the column format when it displays numeric values (number of decimals, unit, unit display).

The Index information can be incremented by primitive. (each type of drilling started at 1)

The Work depth information can be calculated point depth by checking the option.

The Comment information allows to add a editable column in the table where it is possible to add comments.

When a column uses the Comment information, the cell can be edited with the edit table contextual command.

  • Prefix / suffix: By checking the needed option, a prefix or a suffix can be added. For example, to name Hole-1, Hole-2, add the suffix - (minus) after selecting the name in the selected informations. You also have to select Name and Index and check "Merge column".

This tab is configurable if the grouping type of the Columns tab is set to By predefined groups only.

  • Default group: Drillings that do not fit in any group are grouped in this default group. Possibility to rename it.

  • Add new group: From the left list, select the Add bouton to create a new group.

  • Group definition:

    • Name: Enter a name to your group.

    • Conditions by primitives: Use the Add button from the conditions list to create a new one.

    • Condition definition: Select a line in the conditions list above to define its conditions adding property, operator and value. The same condition can contain several properties (eg property Type equal to spot facing + property diameter greater then 15mm). Possibility to add several conditions to the same group to check hole diameter and spot facing diameter in case of a spot faced hole (interesting when the drillings table does not display one line per primitive, see explanation in the Configuration tab).

The list of created groups can be ordered using the up and down arrows. The first valid group (where the primitive meets a condition) will be used to include this primitive.

  • Grouping: The grouping can be done:

    • By type of drillings (all holes will be grouped, then all threaded, ...).

    • By axis.In this case, all types of drillings on the same axis will be grouped like for example the hole and its spot facing.

(see pictures below).

  • Drillings to consider: Generally, all drillings are taken in account, but it is possible to select only some types of drillings by checking Multiple-choice and types to consider.

  • One line per primitive: If this option is unchecked, each operation is differentiated on a line. For example, the hole will be indexed, its spot facing will have another index. If it is checked, the hole and its spot facing will have the same index.

  • Accept reversed drillings: Allows to consider reversed drillings. In this case, created drillings on the opposite face (drillings following Z+) will be taken in account.

  • View detailing:

  • Index: Holes are indexed.

  • Positioning distance: Indexes will be positioned at the distance input in this field. This value is considered when creating the drilling table or when adding a new drilling. Existing indexes will not be modified if this value changes.

  • Coordinates: Holes are dimensioned with coordinates.

For each kind of drillings or entry points, it is possible to choose a specific name and a symbol in the drop-down list.

Select a drilling type, check the Name box and select the edition button:

  • Add string:

Allows you to enter characters (or separators).

  • Add string:

The counter increments for each new creation. It can be made of numbers (numerical) or letters (alphabetical).

The initial value corresponds to the start value of the counter.

The minimum number of characters allows you to get a reference with always the same number of characters.

The fill character allows you to define the character to use when the minimum number of characters if different than 1.

For example with a minimum number of 3 and the fill character 0, you will get the following counter: 001, 002, etc

For example with a minimum number of 3 and the fill character -0, you will get the following counter: --1, --2, etc

It is also possible to modify the symbol to use in the drillings table (select the new symbol from the drop-down list).
