This command allows dimension index to be created in your draft document.

Click the icon or select the Detailing > Bill of material index... command from the drop-down menu.

  1. Select the reference bill of materials.

  2. Select the part to be indexed.

  3. Select the index style to use.

  • The reference bill of materials allows to index one view with several bill of materials keeping index number of each bom.

  • Bill of material indexes can be placed freely or automatically snapped to the magnetic border of the views depending on a detection margin (magnetic border). This magnetic border is configurable in the document's options.

  • The end of the indexes can be different if an edge or a face is selected. This end choice is done in the index style.

  • When an assembly has a bill of material document and is composed with several sub-assemblies, all with a bill of material document, you can select the bill of material to use when creating the bom indexes.

  • When we choose to project only one part of the assembly, we recover the index of this part (under condition to have only one line for this part in the assembly).

The part must be only in one line of the BOM to be displayed in a bill of material index. If there is many lines for the same part in the Bill of material, a question mark "?" will be displayed.
