This document allows you to create your own thread standard or a standard not supplied by TopSolid.

Creation stages / Use:

Create a new document by clicking the icon, then select the icon from the Special tab.

  1. Thread type: type by selecting an existing type from the drop-down list or by selecting Unclassified. In this case, enter the name of this custom type.

  2. Threading: Check Internal and/or External if this standard is for tapped hole and/or threading.

  3. Advanced: If Single pitch per nominal diameter is available for each nominal diameter, check this option. If the nominal diameter may have several pitches, uncheck this option.

If the pitch is conical, check the taper option and enter the conicity angle.

  1. Save and check in this document.

  • Create as many lines as there are diameters in this standard.

  • If the Single pitch per nominal diameter option is unchecked, you need a line per different diameter/pitch.

  • A line must be completely filled.

  • If a diameter of the standard is used in a part and if this diameter is deleted from this standard, then the part becomes invalid, but keeps original values existing before deleting.
