This document allows you to create environments that are reflected in parts in realistic rendering mode reflections.

Creation stages / Use:

Create a new document by clicking on the icon, then select the icon in Special tab.

  1. Enter a Description.

  2. Enter a Reference.

  3. Select an environment Bitmap on your hard disk. Several types of environment formats are supported.

  4. Enter a Brightness multiplier and/or Gamma ratio to modify brightness and/or the image saturation.

  5. The format is proposed regarding the imported Bitmap (the size of the environment document is displayed between brackets).

  6. Save and check in the document.

  • DDS format is a particular format for environments. It contains images representing the environment in all directions. A tutorial to help you to create a DDS file (only in English) is available here.

  • Increase the type of format (LDR to HDR for example) is useless except to increase the size of the file, but the quality will not be better. On the other hand decrease it (HDR to LDR for example) decreases the quality, and also the file size.
