Corner relief |
The aim is to realize a corner relief.
It will then be possible to plunge with a grooving tool (of any shape) following the direction given by the inclinaison of the tool in order to clear a shaft shoulder for example.
There are different ways to select the geometry:
A point in the XZ turning plane.

A circular edge of the part.

A plane

We then just have to give the plunge distance which means the manchining depth and the approach distance (approach distance in feed rate before the geometry to machine).
