Milling direction

There are three cutting modes that follow the rotation direction of the mill and the displacement of the part. These modes are: Climbing, Conventional and Defined.

 

Climbing

With an M3 turning tool, by following the direction of the milling, the tool is to the left of the material.

Conventional

With an M3 turning tool, by following the direction of the milling, the tool is to the right.

The blue arrow indicates the milling direction.

The black hatching area represents the material.

The tool path is pink
