Outside Material Link Management

This setting allows you to control the feed rate speed of the machine between two feed rate trajectories. You can request a feed rate speed:

Rapid

In this case, the cursor must be completely placed to the right (Rapid)

Moving between two radial passes is done at a rapid feed rate speed with a clearance level.

F Max Feed Rate

In this case, the cursor must be completely placed to the left (FMAX)

Moving between two radial passes is done at a maximum feed rate speed defined by the machine, WITHOUT going over a safety plane. In effect, the purpose of this setting is to avoid jumps to the safety plane. The tool will be offset by the radial clearance distance of the XY plane and TopSolid'Cam will perform the milling in parallel to the milling trajectory using the FMAX feed rate.

The rapid tool path follows the same way as the feed rate tool path with an offset.

Variable along the length of the trajectory

In this case, the cursor is placed between two bounds.

The purpose here is to prioritize step overs in order to reduce moving times. In some cases (large contours), using FMAX can take much longer than going up the safety plane. With this cursor, you can indicate to TopSolid'Cam to blend the clearance level breaks and FMAXs based on the distance covered by favoring one or another solution with the cursor. (From left to right, the cursor position indicates the importance to apply for FMAX or Rapid)
