Exception style

Links/Videos:

This style allows to personalize the contents of a view by applying exceptions (lines attributes, unsectionability,...) to entities of this view. The selected parts use parameters defined in the exception. For example, if the lines are black and the part An exception indicates green, part A lines in the view will be green.

Creation stages / Use:

Choose command Tools > Styles > Exception style... from the drop down menu.

  1. Enter a name to the style

  2. Set exceptions (visibility, lines attributes, transparency, unsectionabilities).

  3. Validate.

An exception style can only be applied only on a set that refers to an assembly document or on an assembly view.

To apply an exception style to a set or a view, use the contextual menu on the element and select Exception.

Then in the exception dialog, choose the exception style to apply on this set or view.

Available Options:

If it is unsectionable except for local section, it will be cut in the local cross section of this same draft.

An unsectionable part will not be cut in a cross section view of the assembly draft, but will be cut in a cross section view of this part draft.
