Invalid solids processing

When verifying if the solid of the stock or finish is invalid the stock update may lead to mesh errors between faces and cause invalidity.

 

Having an invalid solid may lead to an abrupt close of TopSolid if the verification try to remove material on one invalid area of the part.

 

Several options are available :

 

 

Do not check solids validity

Delete the mesh analysis steps to have a faster calculation but the verification result may be an invalid STL (can close TopSolid and in all the cases not possible to save the STL).

Report invalids solids

The analysis steps are done but no modification are applied on the model to resolve the invalidity.

There are warning error messages to report the invalidity during the verification simulation.

Block animation mode in case of unsafe solids (secure)

The analysis steps are done but no modification is done on the model to resolve the invalidity.The verification animation mode is greyed (to avoid to close TopSolid).

Only the final STL will be displayed at the verification end.

Repair invalid solids

The analysis steps are done and additional calculations are performed to repair the mesh if errors are detected.

The repair processing time may be important.
